Soap2Day in now streaming Hit Kiwi film Tinā has audiences in tears | The Pacific | ABC News | The smash hit Aotearoa/Samoan film Tinā is about to be released in cinemas across Australia from May 1st. Stars of the film – Anapela Polataivao, Beulah Koale and director Miki Magasiva sat down with ‘The Pacific’ to talk about the film’s success.

Tinā, which translates to ‘mother’ in Samoan,is a bold, emotional celebration of Pacific identity, motherhood and resilience. It has made over $5m at the NZ box office and sits at no.6 most successful Kiwi film, just ahead of 2006’s Sione’s Wedding.

‘The Pacific’ is hosted by Johnson Raela and Alice Lolohea.
