They trace the Silver Surfer's energy signature and, utilizing faster-than-light (FTL) travel, arrive at a new planet just as it is obliterated by Galactus's ship. The team is captured and taken to Galactus, who discloses that he possesses an unquenchable hunger that has compelled him to consume planets for ages. Galactus perceives that Reed and Sue's unborn child harbors immense cosmic power and could potentially satiate his hunger, liberating him from it.
