Johnny starts to decode the Silver Surfer's message.

Drebin looks into the fatal car crash of software engineer Simon Davenport, initially ruling it a suicide, but he discovers a matchbook at the scene. Simon's sister, Beth, a crime novelist, disagrees with this conclusion, but Drebin advises her against further investigation. Drebin encounters Richard Cane, Simon's affluent employer at Edentech, during a tech expo. After they bond over their mutual admiration for the Black Eyed Peas, Cane donates a self-driving electric car to the Police Squad, which causes chaos with Drebin at the wheel, and suggests his exclusive nightclub. The whole European angle was very important for us, not only story wise but also the way we were going to produce it. It really had to be a European collaboration, not just cast but also crew. We felt that with the past years of Europe being on the decline, we wanted to give a counterpoint to Brexit, and to nationalism rising in different countries, to go back to that idea of Europe and Europeans working and creating together.
