Finist. Pervyy bogatyr - Movie Recap (2025) | The Princess Hides a Monstrous Curse
Summary:
The princess hides a monstrous curse, and the scientist steals magic for his wicked plans. But when love and bravery collide, will Finist find a way to change their fate?
At the beginning of the movie, we see a strong man named Finist and his companion, Andy. Finist had come to the jungle to catch a giant pig that was destroying the villagers' crops and causing trouble. Even though the pig was huge, Finist was not afraid. He confidently told Andy, "I am a hero to everyone, and I must control it to keep my position."
Finist attacked the pig with his weapon, but his attacks had no effect. Andy then used his laser to help, but the laser went into the pig’s nose, waking it up in anger. The pig became furious and tried to attack Andy. Finist quickly stepped in to protect him, but he could not stop the pig. With just a little force, the pig threw Finist into the air, making him fall back onto its body.
To control the pig, Andy threw a rope toward Finist. Finist caught the rope and tied it around the pig’s wings and horns. Suddenly, the pig started flying. Holding onto the rope, Finist managed to take control of the pig and flew it over the village. When the villagers saw this, they cheered for Finist, chanting his name in admiration.
Among the crowd was a magician named Baba Yaga. He challenged Finist, saying, "If you are truly strong, prove it. There is a huge stone in the river near my house that is blocking the water. Remove it, and I will acknowledge your strength."
Finist felt insulted. "I just did something great, and you want me to do such a small task?" He started boasting about his bravery. Yaga replied, "I don’t know how many of your stories are true and how many are fake." The villagers laughed, making Finist angry. Instead of feeling proud, he felt humiliated. He was determined to do something so impressive that everyone would praise him again.
